Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.</p> <h2>Position Summary</h2> <p>We’re looking for a <strong>Sr. Engineer, Software &amp; Control</strong> in <strong>Rovereto (TN).</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>The sought figure will be involved in embedded software development of mechatronic systems in the off-highway market with particular focus on electric vehicles.</p> <p>In this role, the candidate is expected to collaborate with the rest of the team in defining, planning and implementing embedded control logics for electronic controller units, leveraging Software Engineering techniques with a holistic approach.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Main opportunities and challenges:  </strong></p> <p>- Work in a stimulating environment</p> <p>- Access to multi-disciplinary worldwide expertise</p> <p>- Technical and professional growth</p> <p>- Use of latest and innovative software development tools</p> <p>- Development/application of state-of-art technologies</p> <p>- Communication with Management and Leadership</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2> <p>Depending on the on-going projects and roles, embedded software developer Engineer’s activities may include the following:</p> <p>- Definition of the most efficient software architecture related to the input requirement specifications</p> <p>- Definition and implementation of control logics controlling systems and components</p> <p>- Utilization of tools and methods for software implementation, requirement tracing and software testing</p> <p>- Software level requirement evaluation and development</p> <p>- Experimental/field data analysis</p> <p>- Preparation, organization and presentation of project documentation (design documents, technical reports)</p> <p>- Automatic software generation/test/compiling toolchain development and optimization</p> <p> </p> <p>- Application of Embedded Software Engineering principles, guidelines and workflow defined by the One Dana Mechatronic System development approach</p> <p>- Implementation of control logics for mechatronic systems leveraging Model Based development</p> <p>- Development of control strategies for OH machines applications</p> <p>- Report out of software development activities updates to management and leadership</p> <p>- Continuous enhancement of Environment, Health &amp; Safety culture</p><h2>Job position Requirements</h2> <p> </p> <p>Education: University master degree - Mechanical/Mechatronic/Automation Engineering</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Professional background </strong></p> <p>3-5 years experience in industry/academia on mechatronics projects.
