Position Summary

The Administrative Supervisor demonstrates effective leadership for the hospital on the off shifts, weekends and holidays. He/she functions as the administrative representative during these times.  Serves as a role model for clinical and professional practice.  Acts as an independent, self-directed professional with demonstrated abilities in interpersonal skills, critical thinking and problem resolution.  Promotes teamwork with all departments.  Demonstrates a strong customer driven approach.  Integrates the Mission and Values into decisions.  Participates as a team member by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job description when workload requires.  Continually seeks opportunities for professional development.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.  Current registered nurse licensure to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other health related discipline preferred. 

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or other health related discipline desired. 

• Minimum of three years clinical experience.

• Demonstrated leadership ability.

• Maintains CPR/ACLS certification. 

• Knowledge of Windows based computer systems and software.
