About the role

Support mission-critical federal initiatives as a Business Analyst in Arlington, VA. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between technical teams and client stakeholders, helping to shape effective, data-driven solutions that align with business goals and agile delivery practices.

The position in 100% onsite.

Essential Duties

Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

  • Facilitate workshops and collaborative meetings to gather and clarify business needs.
  • Translate high-level epics into actionable features and user stories in alignment with Agile methodology.
  • Engage stakeholders to establish shared understanding and prioritize objectives.

Backlog Management & Agile Support

  • Support Product Owners in refining and maintaining a well-prioritized backlog.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure clear communication of requirements.
  • Lead or support planning increments and agile ceremonies to keep projects aligned and on track.

Tools & Reporting

  • Provide expertise in using JIRA to manage, track, and report progress across projects and features.
  • Create business process flows and visualizations to support communication and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate or government environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative delivery practices.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Proficient in creating business process diagrams and visual workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using the Atlassian suite, including JIRA and Confluence.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

  • Public Trust

Travel

  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
