About the role
Betterment’s B2B Marketing Team is seeking a driven marketing or communications professional to assist in the development and execution of engagement strategies for our rapidly growing 401(k) business line.
Reporting to our Sr. Customer Engagement Marketing Manager and working with Betterment at Work teams, you will help engage plan sponsors (employers) and participants (their employees) via various marketing channels.
This role is based out of our NYC office. Below we've reflected the base salary range we would offer for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Betterment’s total compensation package for employees.
- New York City: $110,000 - $125,000

This job may also be eligible for variable compensation in the form of a company incentive bonus. For jobs based out of our NYC HQ, we require in office attendance Tuesday through Thursday, weekly.
A day in the life
- Facilitate creative project management workflow (e.g., coordinate with Creative and Compliance teams) and ensure on-time delivery of campaigns and initiatives
- Execute recurring webinars, including content development, subject matter expert coordination, webinar promotion, follow-up emails, and reporting
- Participate in quarterly and monthly planning sessions to develop a content and communications calendar for both plan sponsors and participants, including brief development
- Coordinate quarterly investment review content to educate our employer clients on market conditions that may affect their 401(k) plan
- Serve as connective tissue between Betterment at Work post-sale partners and assist with cross-functional project management (compliance, client experience, product and engineering)
- Grow into an internal subject matter expert on post-sale activities, providing a key point of view and customer voice in cross-functional contexts
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years experience in B2B Marketing or Corporate Communications
- Experience in the retirement or employer benefits industry a major plus
- Demonstrated self-starter with strong project management skills and ability to work independently
- Collaborative team player who excels at building relationships and has a desire to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
