Job Summary: 

Responsible for the successful implementation of our environmental management plan (EMP). Responsible for training employees, monitoring and updating the EMP. Responsible for recording and auditing all our waste and recycling streams. You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr  
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026  
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  
  • Housing Availability: Yes 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, environmental initiatives and assigned duties are performed correctly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a positive and professional rapport with all staff and guests.
  • Be familiar and comply with Brand Standards and NPS Standards.
  • Become knowledgeable of our ISO Systems (Environmental, Water Conservation, Energy Management).
  • Become knowledgeable of our MES platform and tracking of EMP performance.
  • Become knowledgeable of general information on GTLC operations and National Park.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing training of all staff ensuring that all company policies, procedures, and assigned duties are performed in accordance with our EMP.
  • Assist the Fleet and Recycling Manager as directed.
  • Reach out to employees for suggestions, concerns and other environmental performance issues.
  • Work closely with all department manager in auditing and assessing their departments’ compliance with the EMP
  • Attend Manager Meetings as assigned.
  • Responsible to keep stock of labels and stickers for all of our containers
  • Responsible for finding alternative diversion solutions and improve our standing EMP.
  • Responsible for developing systems of monitoring of contamination in all our waste streams.
  • Responsible for performing internal audits in accordance with ISO standards and in preparation for our external audits.
  • Assist with Hazardous Waste program inspections and shipment.
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and pleasant demeanor.
  • Promote a positive work environme
