Senior System Validation Engineer

As a Senior System Validation Engineer for AG Consulting Partners, a typical day might include the following:

• Performing validation and benchmarking for all cloud shapes, instances, and kernels
• Generating high quality reports for all qualifications and benchmarking cases
• Validating and providing feedback (user experience) on our qualification and benchmarking platform
• Performing qualifications for new hardware, components, firmware, and kernel for on-prem production environments  
• Providing support for our architects by creating documentation and testing runbooks from/for vendors
• Working with vendors and debugging hardware issues found in production and during quals
• Providing support for the Reliability Engagement team in debugging on-prem hardware issues, including interfacing with our hardware vendors
• Managing Sunnyvale’s lab to support the needs for internal engineers
• Performing qualifications of firmware, and kernel for cloud production environments as needed

You have:

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, оr 7+ years equivalent industry experience 
• Solid understanding of server hardware at scale: data center network fundamentals, OS imaging, provisioning, distribution, and configuration deployment at a large scale
• Strong problem-solving skills, with expertise in algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis 
• Strong understanding of qualification processes, and test tools
• Experiences with multiple scripting and programming languages, e.g., C/C++, Python, Go, etc
• Cloud experience, preferably with GCP, OCI, AWS 
• Ability to drive issues and collaborate with vendors, within the team, and across teams

You might also have:

• Experience working at large companies (10k+) 
• Experience working with distributed teams 
• Experience coding in Go
