The Data Analytics Engineer works within the Focus Factory to support the understanding of process data related to the manufacturing floor systems at the site. The Engineer is responsible for the administration, deployment and visualization strategy working directly with the site Automation function and working within the site applications/tools. Primary function is to simplify data access and charting in addition to establishing and maintaining predictive analytics, to include training across functions for system use.
This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Technology within the Focus Factory. It is your dedication and hard work that will make it possible for Pfizer’s customers and patients to receive the medicines they need, when they need them.
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Work within site applications such as OSI Pi to build and maintain dashboards for site manufacturing systems, i.e., fillers, isolators, CIP/SIP processes, formulation processes.
Work with site SMEs on relevant systems to identify relevant tags for trending and organizing data that will be used across multiple functions for process performance, troubleshooting, investigations and general process understanding.
Coordinate with site SMEs to build predictive analytics tools for equipment, to include generation of notifications to select site personnel, that will detect shifts, trends and/or failure in system performance.
Develop and maintain documentation (specifications, work instructions, strategy documents) for system design and planned updates/improvements as part of the site Knowledge Management process.
Ensure all work is performed and maintained current and per applicable site procedures/guidance.
Engage with SMEs to analyze data for troubleshooting systems and root cause determination of events.
Build and maintain training tools and job aides to assist others in use of system as well as perform routine training for enhancement of site use of relevant data.
Ensure maintenance of the system and documentation based on continuous improvement work, events, process changes, etc…
Promote use of data analytics tools onsite for manufacturing system performance.
Person may work with other site functions to aide in developing new tools or data visualization for select purposes.
Work with capital projects to ensure new equipment/processes are properly designed for data analytics.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 4 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience
Knowledge/understanding of global regulations for drugs
Working knowledge of OSI PI, visualization tools and statistical tools and applications.
Understanding of mechanical design, electro mechanical, and automation controls
Excellent communication and presentation skills and attention to details
Strong technical writing and presentation skills
Foundation of SQL
Good understanding of database structures
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Experience working in a regulated environment
Knowledge/understanding of global regulations for drugs
Understanding of mechanical design, electro mechanical, and automation controls
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to stand for extended hours for performance monitoring of processes – will include working within special gowning for area access
Able to climb ladders/steps
Able to lift items of 25lbs
Capable of data analysis using statistical tools/graphing
Strategic thinker for issue resolution
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Pfizer operates 24/7 across most of the business units. Employee must have the ability to work extended hours, holidays and/or weekends as needed. Limited travel may be required.
