Our platform is a combination of web applications, big data platforms, web crawlers, and much more. As a Senior UI Software Engineer you'll have access to a wide range of technologies and influence how we build new solutions going forward.

As a Senior UI Software Engineer with CSC, you can expect to...

• Work together with the UI/UX team to maintain and build out the new codebase
• Be a contributing member of the Scrum team
• Keep up to date on the latest web technologies, code languages, and frameworks
• Take the digital assets from the UX designer and code them to work in modern web browsers
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
• Write well-designed, testable, security focused code
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

To be successful in this role, you will need...

• 5+ years of experience creating interactive modern user interfaces.
• Knowledge of application architecture and design patterns
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Proficiency in at least one JavaScript framework like React or AngularJS
• Knowledge of REST web services

In addition to the requirements listed above, we'd prefer if you have...

• AWS Cloud experience (EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, CodePipeline)
• Server-side programming skills (Java, Python)
• Experience working with TDD (Test Driven Development) and coding within a standard
• Experience with additional JavaScript frameworks (ExpressJS, NodeJS)
• Experience with writing stable, scalable, and secure applications
