POSITION:
TEMPORARY LECTURER IN MUSIC: The Department of Music invites applications for a part-time teaching appointment to teach F26 asynchronous online sections of MUS 3341 (Music for the Classroom Teacher), an upper division Music Education course for Liberal Studies majors. Candidates are encouraged to apply indicating their virtual and in-person teaching experience. The course assignments for this position are contingent on the availability of authorized funding and student demand. Asynchronous online sections will likely continue to be needed in future semesters, but in-person sections may be available pending student demand and funding availability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Masters degree in Music and evidence of successful online community college or university level teaching experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Evidence of successful online university level teaching experience in a course similar to MUS 3341.

COMPENSATION:
Salary is based on qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.
Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
