About the role
*Please note this is a 1st shift role, hours are Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm with occasional Saturdays as needed*
The Manufacturing Support Associate I is responsible for issuing and de-issuing materials to production, supporting Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery of components, and completing non-value-add tasks that enable production teams to focus on core responsibilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring material readiness, production line support, and work area organization. A forklift license is required.

This role plays a key part in ensuring material readiness, production line support, and work area organization. A forklift license is required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Issue and de-issue materials in ERP systems for production orders
- Deliver components and supplies to production areas as needed
- Replenish PPE and consumables at point-of-use stations
- Remove waste and empty bins from production work cells
- Close completed production jobs in the ERP system under guidance
- Track and communicate material shortages or delays to the Materials Team Lead
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in production staging areas
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
- Perform basic data entry and labeling tasks for job kits or materials
- Assist with Bin Audits for production operations bins
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Understands the flow of material to and from production
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Comfortable using barcode scanners and basic computer tools
- Good verbal communication skills and reliability under time pressure
- Previous experience with Lean/Six Sigma, or the Toyota Method a plus
- Comfortable working with and understanding ERP data E.g. BOMs, Pick lists, Yield Numbers
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse, production support, and materials handling preferred
- Forklift certification required
Working Conditions:
- Frequent lifting, bending, walking, and moving materials
- Must be able to work in cold storage environments (average 40°F, occasionally -4°F)
- May involve working around powered equipment and production machinery Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
