Power and Controls Commercial and Military Spares business is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Specialist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to month-end and quarter-end financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts, and audit support, while also collaborating cross-functionally with departments such as Contracts and Aftermarket. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and a desire to grow within a dynamic team.
What You Will Do
- Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting and earnings release processes for the Commercial and Military Spares businesses.
- Assist with the organization’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts. This role will support the SOX control processes including risk assessment, GAP assessment, documentation standards and issue remediation.
- Work directly with the contracts department to ensure projects and contracts are appropriately accounted for.
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
- Support the Aftermarket business in special projects and ad hoc analysis.
- Develop Balance Sheet and Cash Flow analysis and projections.
- Utilize CORE tools to drive process improvements and develop standard work.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Program Finance/P&L experience - Aerospace preferred
- Fiscal close experience
- Long Range Planning experience
- Accounting and variance analysis experience
- Systems exposed to: SAP, Blackline, and OneStream
- Computer software skills in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Auditing experience (SOX)
