About the role

Manufacturing Product Preparation Engineer is responsible for the transition of products from product development into full production readiness including:

  • Securing that Product Development / Technology teams deliver a product that is verified and aligned with compnay's Production System and Future Factory Concept
  • Establishing clear and commonly shared product requirements for one dedicated area of responsibility
  • Effectively coordinating and triggering activities of Manufacturing Solution Engineers within production
  • Securing that product changes are introduced in the industrial system without disturbance, according to set targets
  • Responsible for creating requirements and specifications for production test tools, either directly with development teams or by collaborating with product test engineers
  • May develop and define product support plan. On Professional level applies practical knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience

May require the following proficiency:

  • Works independently with general supervision.
  • Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
  • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work on-site in Greensboro, North Carolina
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing/mechanical
