About the role
Manufacturing Product Preparation Engineer is responsible for the transition of products from product development into full production readiness including:
- Securing that Product Development / Technology teams deliver a product that is verified and aligned with compnay's Production System and Future Factory Concept
- Establishing clear and commonly shared product requirements for one dedicated area of responsibility
- Effectively coordinating and triggering activities of Manufacturing Solution Engineers within production
- Securing that product changes are introduced in the industrial system without disturbance, according to set targets
- Responsible for creating requirements and specifications for production test tools, either directly with development teams or by collaborating with product test engineers
- May develop and define product support plan. On Professional level applies practical knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience
May require the following proficiency:
- Works independently with general supervision.
- Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
- May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
Requirements
- Must be able to work on-site in Greensboro, North Carolina
- 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing/mechanical
