GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

To perform duties in the district for building maintenance as a carpenter or painter but not exempt from doing minor electrical, plumbing, grounds or mechanical work any other general maintenance needs for the campus/district.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

         

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices. 

As Assigned by Director.

Responsible for routine and emergency repairs of building maintenance systems as assigned.  Conduct periodic inspections of buildings to assess the condition of the building and its maintenance systems and determine the best solution in eliminating problems.  Perform other duties that may be assigned.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and the employee is occasionally required to perform job responsibilities in the outdoors and off site.
