Global Head of* Operational Excellence & Projects

Your Contribution

• Acts as a sparring partner in respect to operations strategy and operational excellence to Business and Service Units
• Assesses productivity of units/sites & technologies and identifies improvement areas, e.g. by translating data to business value
• Plans and manages complex and strategically important projects across all Business Units
• Ensures the further group-wide development of project management competence in traditional and new project management methods
• Builds, develops and manages a diverse team with different qualification profiles to generate a pool of strong talents for operations & technology within the SCHOTT group
• Scouts for new external advancements in operational excellence and operations strategies to complement and build internal capability
• Leads operations communities by fostering best practice exchanges, providing discussion platforms and impulses to units

Your Profile

• Degree in Engineering or technical related field, ideally in combination with MBA
• Minimum 8 years of relevant operational experience in production, process engineering or production technology; experience in consulting/ LEAN Six Sigma is a plus
• Ability to develop long-term targets and derive short term measures incl. their implementation
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead people and teams in cross-cultural projects
• Strong solution orientation with high analytical skills and data analytics competence, dedicated to find pragmatic solutions to complex problems
• High level of social competence, communication and relationship management skills with the ability to influence others without direct authority
• Global mobility and willingness to take on a further top management position within one of the sites of the SCHOTT group after 3-5 years
