Shipping and Receiving Associate

We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Associate for our Charlotte, NC  facility. In this role, you will report to the Shipping Supervisor and will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall operations of the warehouse.

Your Responsibilities 

• Prepare outgoing shipments by verifying orders, packing items securely, and affixing appropriate labels and documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-up and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
• Utilize shipping software and equipment (SAP, barcode scanners, scales, etc.) to process orders efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area to facilitate smooth operations.
• Receive incoming shipments, unload delivery trucks, and inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Perform other duties assigned by warehouse management to support overall operational objectives.
• Accurately record received items into SAP.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to minimize accidents and ensure a safe work environment.

• Assist in conducting regular inventory cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with SAP.
• Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems and shipping software (SAP, UPS, FedEx, Southeastern, etc., is a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and at various levels with both internal and external parties, including consultants, vendors, and employees.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education and certification in logistics or warehouse operations a plus.

 

Your Profile

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in areas described below:

• Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems and shipping software (SAP, UPS, FedEx, Southeastern, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Must be able to lift 25lbs
• Adherence to safety regulations and willingness to follow safety guidelines and protocols
• Must be able to communicate effectively and at different levels with both internal and external parties, including consultants, vendors, and employees
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently
