Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Patient Care Tech/ CAN Med Surg Unit.

As a Patient Care Tech/ CAN Med Surg Unit at MercyOne, you will be under the supervision and direction of the staff nurse, assists patients with activities of daily living, provides patients with basic nursing care. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment in accordance with established methods and procedures of MercyOne Newton Medical Center.

Schedule:

• PRN hours may vary

General Requirements:

• Provides/assists with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Assists with admission, discharge and transfer of patients to and from the unit.
• Measures and records heights, weights, intakes and outputs, and appetites as directed.
• Obtains vitals and blood glucose readings as directed.
• Maintains an awareness of personal and patient safety when performing all duties.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of 75-hour certified nurse aide course required.
• Completion of 150-hour advanced certified nurse aide course preferred.
