Sr. Accounts Payable Specialst

OVERVIEW

We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sr. Accounts Payable Specialst to join our growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of all vendor payables in a cost-effective manner for PVM USA, PVM Canada, as well as the Rockford and Gum Base cost centers. This role manages vouchers payable and performs accounts payable trade balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring vendor credits are collected and the reasons behind aged payables are addressed.

 

The specialist works closely with the Financial Reporting Team on ICY payables and vouchers, manages the AP workflow and inbox to ensure timely processing, approvals, and dispute resolution, and collaborates with Angel (Senior AP Specialist) in training temporary staff and new hires in accounts payable processes.

 

They will also be responsible for:

 

• Processing vendor invoices
• Managing AP Trade workflow, inbox, and dispute resolution
• Conducting root cause analyses, implementing process improvements, and ensuring vendors are paid according to their terms to prevent business interruptions
• Managing vendor inquiries and resolving issues
• Assisting with monthly close processes
• Performing vouchers payable and AP Trade reconciliations
• Preparing KPI reports (e.g., DPOs)
• Reconciling ICY vouchers and invoices with the Financial Reporting team
• Training new hires in accounts payable

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• 10 + Years of End-to-end AP process knowledge (invoice processing, vouchers, approvals, payments, reconciliations)
• Associates or Bachellors Degree Preferred but not required
• Experienced in managing entire payables process.
• Hands-on experience with ERP Systems (preferably SAP)
• Familiarity with AP automation tools and OCR Technology is a plus
• Workflow management and process automation
• General accounting knowledge of debits/credits
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with ability to work independently
• Action oriented
• Good interpersonal skills
