Make a difference in the community as a Homeless Program Patient Services Representative. In this role you will help the low-income and homeless patients of our community based, primary health care clinics. The role will:
- Perform a full range of patient intake, program eligibility, and care coordination duties.
- Provide exceptional customer service and practice de-escalation techniques to reduce the risk of harm to patients and staff.
- Maintain logs for returned checks, denied credit card payments and contact patients to collect money.
- Provide prompt and courteous assistance at time of check-in.
- Verify financial and geographic eligibility, and schedule patients according to their assigned provider.
- Verify and update patient demographics in our NextGen system.
- Travel between our clinic sites as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Salary Range: $30.36 - $43.49 Hourly
Job Qualifications

Required:- MS Office programs, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel between clinic sites.
- Good communication skills and the ability to embrace diversity.
- Ability to effectively interact with people and develop positive relationships while being tactful, respectful, and direct in communication.
Preferred:
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare or medical setting
- Bilingual English/Spanish language skills
- Ability to accurately and efficiently use our HER system, and ability to use data for decision making
