We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Materials Management Manager This position reports to the Assistant General Manager and will work in the Pompano Beach, FL facility.
As Materials Management Manager of the Pompano Beach team, you will supervise and develop our Materials Planning, Forecasting, and Warehouse team. This role will help to streamline cross-functional processes, as well as assist in the development of S&OP processes.
General Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to develop and execute build to order and build to stock plans
- Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and processes that support inventory forecasting and material control
- Develop methods for ordering materials aside from MRP
- Prepare and provide periodic reports to Plant & Corporate Management, as required, including – raw material amount versus inventory goals, obsolete and slow-moving material analysis, inventory accuracy, cycle count results, audit results, corrective actions, etc.
- Establish & maintain effective customer relationships; investigate and respond to internal and external customer complaints as needed
- Oversee and manage non-conforming raw material levels; ensure material is returned to supplier in a timely manner
- Drive internal corrective/preventive actions and ensure the effectiveness of those actions
- Develop and maintain KPI’s to monitor the effectiveness of Procurement processes
- Execute tasks to support month end close
- Review and maintain Master Data and ERP systems to ensure MRP recommendations are appropriate
- Approve supplier price increases in accordance with company guidelines.
- Assist A/P with invoicing issues to ensure prompt payment to suppliers
- Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing, in conjunction with Finance, an inventory control system capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts, and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in the future
- Attain inventory accuracy goal of 99% or better, as measured during yearly physical inventory and cycle count program
- Develop expert product knowledge of items being supported
- Participate in the ECN and MRB processes
- Develop training materials and effectively deliver those materials in a team environment, ensuring that the materials group employees throughout the facility are trained via standard work and know how to perform their specific job functions
- Incorporate company vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guide and motivate others to remain committed to the Dometic Way
- Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends
- Component life cycle management - manage material transitions during phase in and phase out of new products minimizing exposure to obsolescence
- Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related fields required, MBA preferred; CPIM, CSCP, CPM or CPSM certification is a plus
- Minimum of five (5) years supply chain experience required
