Position Summary-

Under the direction of the Medical Director and Manager, the Navigator is responsible for organizing and coordinating all aspects of the intake of new patients into Mental and Behavioral Health clinical programs. The Navigator will complete an assessment phone call with each patient and make a clinical decision about the most appropriate placement and type of appointment. Ensures appointments are scheduled correctly in Epic, provides appointment confirmations, and required paperwork for families. Works closely with clinical and support staff to ensure a smooth and timely process of information gathering, decision-making and scheduling of new patients.

Position Requirements-
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field with mental health experience preferred. Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years related and applied experience in a mental health field in lieu of Master's degree.
Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and appropriate clinical interventions, as well as knowledge of mental health insurance preferred.
Strong communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Adequate writing skillset for the completion of forms, chart documentation, and other written materials.
Demonstrated strong and creative problem solving skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical activity required: reaching overhead (0-25%), squat/bend/kneel (0-25%), sit (50-75%), walk/move about (0-25%).
