The Director of Employee Success will be instrumental in defining and shaping the end-to-end employee experience for onboarding and integration and equipping our employees for career transitions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of designing and implementing large-scale employee-centric experiences. This person must be innovative and always seeking how to push the boundaries of adult learning & development. However, they must also have a relentless focus on practical application that is grounded in the realities of what our employees face day-to-day and the impacts they need to drive for the company. To this end, they will raise the bar for what it means to be learner-centric and have a strong focus on where our learners want to go in their career and their ‘jobs to be done.’
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and manage the end-to-end employee pre-boarding, onboarding, orientation, and integration experience, from the time of offer acceptance to first 6 months in role, in partnership with Talent Acquisition, the Global Business Service Center, HR Technology, Employee Digital Experience, Tech Connect, Security, Real Estate, and other internal partners
• Create, and implement a scalable skill accelerator program that enables the re-skilling and up-skilling of Mastercard employees for the purpose of expanding career path possibilities, and leveraging Unlocked, our internal Talent Marketplace
• Define key career transition journeys and develop learning experiences to equip employees to navigate through those transitions
• Take a multi-year, programmatic approach to creating employee development programs, and work with partners across the business to streamline touchpoints and processes that impact employee experience within the team’s remit
• Define and track the key performance indicators that tie success of the onboarding, I and integration and transition to business outcomes
• Work with vendors and inhouse team to design and deliver compelling and relevant learning experiences (with ability to facilitate where needed)
• Bring in external best and next practices to inform and shape Mastercard’s approaches to employee onboarding and integration and career transitions
• Work with Insights team to implement effective data gathering, analysis, and evaluation programming
• Lead with an inclusive and innovative mindset to bring to life the Mastercard Way for our leaders and managers
Skills and Qualifications:
• You’re a tech-savvy design thinker with an understanding of experience design, an eye for driving and creating visually stunning and engaging experiences/content, and a track record for creating the new and the different.
• You view everything through the eyes of your customer, the employee and continually look at the market and competition to identify new and creative ways to engage
• Learning, development, and/or talent management experience in a leadership role – tech/digital industry experience advantageous
• Advanced consulting experience with the ability to translate business needs and priorities into deliverable learning objectives and successful employee programs
• Advanced experience designing and implementing learning experiences, programs, platforms and tools.
• Advanced program and change management skills required to implement/execute multiple high-priority, high-visibility projects on time and within budget.
