This position is responsible for understanding, analyzing, and reporting operating costs for our largest and most critical business segment. There will be requirements to help design and implement financial models to analyze trends, predict future performance, and make fact-based recommendations. A key function will also be to help ensure changes in customer supply are communicated in an actionable way to the operating teams. This role requires the ability to think and work independently, but also necessitates working well in a team environment.
You will:
- Build quality forecasts, measure against forecasts, and determine trends
- Highlight areas of opportunities and drive understanding of key levers for performance improvement
- Support closing activities and planning with the FP&A and controllership teams
- Partner with BI teams to develop and automate key performance indicators and reporting for the P&L
- Work with the CFO, operating team, and finance team members to recommend, develop, and implement processes that will guide the effectivity of the finance function
- Research and resolve reporting issues, may require ability to interpret policies, guidelines and/or processes
What you will bring to the table:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields demonstrating a solid focus on analytical aspects
- 5-7 years of experience in roles demanding financial analysis and comprehensive reporting of financial outcomes
- Advanced Excel skills, strong MS PowerPoint and proficiency with other MS office products
- Flexible, adaptable, and hands on approaches
- Balance of speed and accuracy in work execution, ensuring quick yet reliable data handling and analytical output
- Proven ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism, and demonstrating resilience and resourcefulness in the face of challenges
- Prior experience with project management and leadership roles, demonstrating a capacity to lead initiatives and projects to successful completion
- Superior communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in simple terms to non-financial staff members and stakeholders
- Experience in collating high-volume data sets and adept at transforming raw data into meaningful, actionable information
- Prior experience with reporting systems such as Anaplan, Cognos, PowerBI, and Netsuite
