Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Hospital Rounds in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a healthcare location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. You will be expected to respond promptly to situations as they arise, communicate clearly with others, and deliver exceptional customer service at all times. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards

  • Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)

  • Transport patients to the morgue, as needed

  • Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and/or providing directions to visitors as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
