Your Role at Cabot
Cabot Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced OT Architect to manage data ingestion workflows from OT systems into the InMation platform, operate and maintain the platform, and lead the development of innovative solutions in data visualization, reporting, and analytics. This role requires expertise with AspenTech IP21, Emerson DeltaV, and other OT systems, with a strong focus on ensuring a secure OT/IT environment, optimizing system performance, and delivering scalable and actionable insights for business and operational stakeholders.
Additionally, this role will be remote, but candidates should be physically based in Texas.
How You Will Make an Impact
Data Ingestion and Platform Management
- Design, implement, and optimize OT data ingestion pipelines into the InMation platform, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and minimal latency.
- Integrate and manage data workflows from industrial systems, including AspenTech IP21, Emerson DeltaV, and related platforms.
- Configure and maintain industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and other communication standards for seamless data flow.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance or connectivity issues with the InMation platform and integrated OT systems.
- Conduct regular health checks, maintenance, and upgrades of the platform to ensure operational continuity and performance optimization.
Solution Development and Analytics
- Lead the design and development of dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions to enable real-time insights and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and deliver innovative OT data visualization and reporting solutions.
- Drive the implementation of advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive analytics and anomaly detection, to optimize operations.
Security and Compliance
- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect OT and IT environments, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST, or ISO 27001.
- Establish and manage network segmentation, secure data transmission, and robust access control mechanisms across OT/IT environments.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and respond to security risks, including vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
- Develop and maintain an incident response plan for OT/IT security events, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
Leadership and Innovation
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams involved in OT/IT projects, fostering a collaborative and innovation-driven culture.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and new solution development to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Stay updated on emerging OT technologies, trends, and threats, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in OT systems, data integration, or platform management
- Maintains highest levels of certification in specialty area.
- Certification in OT security (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, CISSP, or similar) preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AspenTech IP21, Emerson DeltaV, and the InMation platform or similar OT data management tools.
- Proficiency in industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and SCADA systems.
- Strong knowledge of OT/IT security best practices, standards, and frameworks.
- Experience developing visualizations, dashboards, and analytics solutions using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and deliver impactful solutions.
How We’ll Support Your Success:
- The salary range for this role is from $139,450-$208,600. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skill, qualifications, and experience.
