UIS is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company. We provide fully integrated design-build services to our clients in the high-technology industry for their manufacturing facility needs. Our scope of services includes engineering design, high-tech factory planning, and on-time equipment and material delivery in which clean-room systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and tool hook-up, are all vital parts in need of total coordination.
Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial management of all warehouse and material operations across assigned locations.
This role ensures effective inventory control, efficient distribution of construction materials, regulatory compliance, and alignment with project schedules and company objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials and equipment.
- Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Coordinate with logistics manager and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
- Develop and implement warehouse processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee receipt and distribution of construction materials and equipment to ensure timely delivery to job sites.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, procurement, and logistics teams to align material deliveries with project schedules.
- Ensure all receiving and shipping documentation is accurate, complete, and uploaded within required timeframes.
- Oversee the Material Delivery Request (MDR/MDO) process and provide strategic oversight and support.
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits and maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management system.
- Investigate, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, operational standards, and safety protocols across all warehouse locations.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and training sessions.
- Oversee maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment and company vehicles.
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports, including inventory metrics, productivity tracking, and performance analysis.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on inventory status, operational efficiency, and team performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse workflows and supply chain effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in material management and/or warehousing, preferably in the construction industry.
- Prior leadership or management experience required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of the supply chain process and warehouse management processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to use inventory management software, such as WASP.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
