Your daily responsibilities will include (but certainly are not limited to):
- Checking patients in and out with kindness
- Answering calls of all natures (ranging from scheduling and refill requests to relaying medical advice from one of our providers)
- Assisting with pre-appointment planning
- Updating patient information in Medent (our electronic medical records system) and obtaining a thorough medical history for new patients
- Assisting providers with patient care, procedures, clerical work, and insurance tasks
- Phlebotomy and obtaining other specimens (such as urine, throat cultures, etc.)
- Processing specimens for testing, both in-house and in external laboratories
- Performing office procedures such as EKGs and checking orthostatic blood pressures
- Relaying test results to patients over the phone
- Obtaining prior authorizations for certain procedures based on patient insurance
- Always maintaining patient confidentiality
- Job Type: Full-time or part-time, Monday-Friday
- Offers for Full-Time Employees: Health insurance, paid vacation/holiday time, 401k
- Pay: $19.00/hr
- Medical Specialty: Primary Care
- Schedule: Our office is open from 7:30 AM to 7 PM Monday through Thursday, and from 7:30 AM to 4 PM on Fridays. We close everyday from 12 PM to 1 PM for lunch.
