RWE has a Cloud First and Multi Cloud strategy – C&amp;DC support Azure Landing Zone as well as traditional “on-premise” data centres, providing 24x7 platform services and cross functional services (Compute, Storage, DBMS, etc.) along with its Managed Service Provider partners.</p> <p> </p> <p>You can be one of the leading lights! </p> <p> </p> <p>Your future plans </p> <ul> <li>We’re looking for a Product Owner &amp; technical lead for data storage platforms, backup and archive &amp; related topics to govern the maintenance &amp; support of RWE's Cloud and Data Centre (C&amp;DC) platform(s) in conjunction with our internal team, Cloud Service Providers (CSP) and Managed Service Providers (MSP). </li> <li>Research, develop, build, configure, integrate &amp; unit test future solutions for RWE's C&amp;DC storage services based on the  functional &amp; technical specifications </li> <li>Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies in RWE's C&amp;DC storage services </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Communicate and define RWE IT technology requirements and standards to our MSP teams and ensure adherence as well as to provide technical leadership to the teams </li> <li>Define and maintain the C&amp;DC Operations managed service work packages ensuring RWE IT requirements are correctly translated into MSP deliverables </li> <li>Input to capacity management &amp; optimisation planning</li> <li>Contribute to &amp; support RWE’s Security policies with technical implementations &amp; recommendations relevant to the storage area, including Disaster recovery, data protection, ransomware, …</li> <li>Measure the C&amp;DC Operations managed service delivery against the agreed KPIs </li> <li>Represent RWE IT at Change Advisory Boards as required with a focus on C&amp;DC Services </li> <li>Play an active and/or coordinating role in Problem, Incident and Change activities. This  includes: </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Actively managing related incidents in Service Now (RWE’s ITSM tool) </li> <li>Actively managing incidents raised with Service Providers (CSP and/or MSP) </li> <li>Taking a lead in complex resolutions &amp;/or escalations together with MSP’s and other technical teams. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance        validation </li> <li>Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems in RWE's C&amp;DC Platforms / Services </li> <li>Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing in RWE's C&amp;DC Platforms / Services </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Your skills </p> <ul> <li>Significant experience &amp; deep technical background on storage, backup, and archive systems, focusing on Microsoft Azure &amp; traditional data-centre SAN arrays. </li> <li>Deep solution knowledge in areas of Azure Storage (blob, elastic SAN, disk storage , data lake/big data etc) &amp; traditional data centre storage solutions (SAN &amp; NAS arrays, onboard disk, RAID, compression / Deduplication, HSM etc) </li> <li>Deep solution knowledge of backup &amp; archive solutions from Azure &amp; traditional DC (TSM, CommVault, Azure Archive, etc)</li> <li>Understand fundamentals of storage to a deep level ( block, file, object, database data protection, snap-shotting, replication &amp; data restoration</li> <li>Knowledge of automated processes for using &amp; enhancing system optimisation &amp; resilience, with regards to storage solutions. </li> <li>Good knowledge of ITIL processes / model and of the DevOps model </li> <li>Knowledge of End-to-end application operations processes </li> <li>Knowledge of Asset and Configuration Management and Incident and Problem Management </li> <li>Experience of managing various and conflicting technical and business demands </li> <li>Able to assess impact and communicate to managed service, infrastructure and application teams </li> <li>Self-reliant and able to work to own initiatives </li> <li>Ability to work under pressure – patient, tolerant and resilient </li> <li>Fluency in spoken and written English, including technical and business terms </li> <li>Cultural awareness and willingness to travel (largely between UK and Germany)  </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Advantageous</p> <ul> <li>Coding skills with emphasis on cloud</li> <li>Familiarity and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and change automation tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform</li> <li>Broad understanding of the RWE's business and the strategic drivers which influence the Cloud </li> <li>environment requirements.</li> </ul
