The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake Forest location in the Infectious Disease division.

As the Assistant Controller, you’ll support affiliates in activities related to accounting policies and procedures, consistent with General Accepted Accounting Practices, Corporate Financial Procedures, and sound business practices. Ensure reporting requirements to Division and Corporate are met in accordance with Corporate and Division calendars.

What You’ll Work On

Full accountability for managing and leading quarterly LBE and confirm process:

  • Define timetables and key tasks required to ensure delivery and reporting of LBE review package for Business Unit, Division and Corporate are met within established deadlines.
  • Serve as key liaison with Business Unit on all LBE related matters.
  • Lead consolidation, data review, review deck preparation and ensure integrity and accuracy of all data is maintained.
  • Ensure a robust planning system in Business Unit to meet Division requirements, recommend improvements to process to ensure efficient and timely results.
  • Provide financial guidance to the affiliates in the preparation of the budgets, sales and all relevant reporting requirements.

Lead the consolidation, monthly reporting and analysis of Infectious Disease Business Unit financial actual results including:

  • Ensure action taken on follow up items for Monthly finance meetings.
  • Monthly Performance Analysis Reports review with affiliates, follow through on actions.
  • Monthly Actual explanation of variances.
  • Recommend actions to ensure meeting targets or corrective actions.
  • Develop and track risks and opportunities.
  • Other Ad-hoc as required by Business Unit, Division, Corporate.

Lead the consolidation and analysis of ID Business Unit OEM including:

  • Define timetables and key tasks required to ensure delivery and reporting of OEM review package for Business Unit, Division and Corporate are met within established deadlines.
  • Lead consolidation, data review, review deck preparation and ensure integrity and accuracy of all data is maintained.

Lead and deliver financials and insights for monthly S&OP process:

  • Prepare monthly financial package for Executive S&OP (Division), provide insights and recommendations on outlook.
  • Preparation of monthly BU financial deck for S&OP meeting.

Fulfill all administrative responsibilities related to performance reviews, assigned personnel development, growth plan achievement for self and direct reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Finance or Accounting degree (CPA or equivalent), Economics or Business Administration
  • 10-15 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Planning or Reporting role in Multinational company environments
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to interact with multiple management levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of strategic drivers
  • 3-5 years of Supervisory or Managerial experience
  • Strong analytical and communication skills. Able t
