Senior Java Engineer with Automation Experience

<p>We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong backend expertise to join our friendly, professional team working on a project for a global fintech company. </p> <p><strong>Key Requirements:</strong></p> <ul><li>5+ years of experience with Java</li><li>Proven experience with Java 8+ and deep hands-on knowledge of Java Streams and lambda expressions</li><li>Strong automation experience is essential</li><li>Solid background in Spring Boot and RESTful API development</li><li>Extensive experience with microservices architecture and related resilience patterns (e.g., Resilience4j)</li><li>Expertise in secure communication protocols such as TLS and mTLS, including keystore/truststore configuration</li><li>Proficient in exception handling using Spring’s @ControllerAdvice and Servlet error handling</li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and deploying Java services in production</li><li><strong>Experience writing clean, testable code with unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito</strong>)</li><li>Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills</li><li>Work hours: until 10.00 p.m. in Romania; until 9.00 p.m. in Poland</li></ul> <p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 8+ and Spring Boot</li><li>Build and maintain RESTful APIs following best practices and standards</li><li>Architect and implement microservices, ensuring system resilience and fault tolerance</li><li>Utilize Java Streams for complex data processing tasks</li><li>Implement error handling and fallback strategies to improve system robustness</li><li>Ensure secure data exchange through proper use of TLS/mTLS protocols</li><li>Conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor junior developers</li><li>Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready features</li><li>Proactively manage technical debt and uphold engineering best practices</li></ul> <p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p> <ul><li>Fully remote work opportunity based in Poland or Romania</li><li>Contract duration: 6+ months with potential for long-term engagement</li><li>A friendly and professional team environment that encourages growth and collaboration</li></ul>
