About the role

Salary/Position Classification

  • $14.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 15-20 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Computer aided drafting focused on process piping, electrical, control systems and related mechanical and building drawings
  • Working with environmental and alternative energy researchers, engineers, laboratory, process, and facility technicians
  • Identifying and labeling piping, ventilation, and electrical systems (may include some painting to identify pipes)
  • Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • AutoCAD or similar drawing software experience with capability of learning AutoCad by utilizing understanding of other drafting software as a basis
  • Able to stand 3-4 hours at a time
  • Can move 45-50 pounds
  • The ability to understand and complete required training for the job classification
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong AutoCAD or similar design/drafting software experience, and Excel and Word.
  • Able to understand pipe sizes and piping components such as valves and regulators.
