Current Need
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to work within The US Oncology Network of McKesson. An active pharmacist license is required; an active pharmacist license in Florida is preferred.
This is a part-time (0.5 FTE; 4 hours/day M-F) position.
Job Summary
This part-time position is responsible for remote order review and the implementation and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services for practices within The US Oncology Network (The Network). The Clinical Reviewer Pharmacist works collaboratively with The Network practice(s), leadership, and McKesson teams to implement processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive, cost-effective pharmacy services that meet regulatory and quality obligations.
Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with practice leadership, develops and implements strategies to optimize clinical efficacy, appropriate dosing, and therapeutic interchange, reimbursement, and other drug use initiatives.
Implements mutually agreed upon therapeutic and supportive care medication use changes within the patient care setting.
Collaborate with The Network practices to implement P&T recommendations and improvements for patient safety.
Function as clinical pharmacist for patient-specific practice needs.
Identify best practices within the electronic health record for medication review and suggestions for enhancements.
Leads the development of clinical practice metrics.
Report on clinical interventions and updates on key drug initiatives at practice P&T or applicable leadership meetings.
