Trade Show Warehouse

Description

Purpose of the role: 

This is a unique and interesting opportunity for the right person with carpentry and building maintenance skills to join a great Trade Show Team. This position is located 70% of the time in a warehouse/carpentry shop with one other team member, building unique exhibits for trade shows, maintaining and repairing the exhibits, and packing or unloading pallets for shipping back and forth to shows. 30% of the year is spent joining the Maintenance Team to maintain the Ball buildings and gardens. Ball is a Great Place to Work certified company.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

• Build and paint trade show exhibit materials from scratch or diagrams  40%
• Load, pack, and unpack pallets for safe and secure shipping to trade shows  20%
• Drive a forklift and load semi-trucks and the box truck for shipping to trade shows and events 
• Transport materials from the warehouse to the grounds for events and as needed 
• Maintain safe, clean, & well-organized work areas 
• Purchase supplies and materials for projects as directed  10%
• Assist with special projects as directed 
• Perform other duties as requested   
• Facilities and Grounds Projects and Maintenance 30%

Requirements

 

Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED  
• Relevant work experience in carpentry and woodworking
• Must either have, or be able to obtain, forklift certification within 3 months of employment (paid for by the company)
• Must be self-motivated and possess a high attention to detail
• Must have basic math and computer skills
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license
