Sr. Application Development Manager
POSITION LOCATION

YOUR ROLE
This position will serve as Center of Excellence Lead for the Enterprise Workflow Services. This role involves taking ownership of application design and providing technical guidance across the enterprise.
What you will be doing
- Define standard practices for workflow development to ensure consistency and efficiency across the enterprise
- Provide technical guidance and leadership, including code reviews, technical documentation support, and clear security guidelines
- Collaborate across IT teams to define technical requirements and architectural designs to support workflow migration efforts
- Coordinate release schedules
- Lead the analysis and design efforts in support of application and business requirements.
- Design within the architectural and system strategy constraints
- Develop and maintain scalable and robust architectures for both new and existing workflow service applications
- Understand and apply accepted application development and integration processes in all development activities. Actively participate in efforts to improve existing processes
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Work closely with internal business partners to resolve problems and escalate issues to leadership when necessary
- Stay abreast of emerging technology and integration best practices, and apply those best practices across our application suite
- Document architectures and procedures ensuring that they meet all applicable compliance requirements
What you bring
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or related field
- Proficient with Java or object-oriented programming languages
- Demonstrable BPM workflow experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment automation principles
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Strong understanding of Web Services, Spring, Spring Boot, and REST design patterns/paradigms
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Understanding/Experience with Kafka data streams
- Familiarity with code management tools, preferably Git based solutions
- Experience implementing Grafana and Prometheus monitoring
