Description

As a Project Engineer Foundry Intern, you will support process improvement initiatives and participate in kaizen events aimed at enhancing operational efficiency within the foundry. You will assist in project management tasks, including developing project scopes, obtaining vendor quotes, and overseeing small projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing and updating work instructions and procedures to ensure they are accurate and up to date.

How You Will Help

• Process Improvements – Review and become familiar with selected process improvement projects and activities.
• Participate in kaizen events – operational / process improvements.
• Project Management – Review and become familiar with selected projects – Work on the development of project scopes, solicit and attain quotes, and manage small projects as assigned.
• Administrative Tasks – Review and update work instructions and procedures

What You Will Bring

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus in Foundry / Metal Casting or Manufacturing
• Basic CAD experience / knowledge, 2D and/or 3D CAD
• Familiar with MS Suite products, particularly Excel
• Able to read and produce technical plans, drawings, and schematics
• Good communicator, verbal and written
• Good leadership skills
• Good time management and analytic skills
• Preference – Basic programming skills (CNC, Robotics, etc.)
