Coach (Swimming-Physically Challenged Sports-Greenspring Campus)

Overview

The swim coach will develop and implement swimming programs for a wide range of physically challenged participants including ambulatory and wheelchair athletes.

 

This is a part time position with weekend hours.  

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group swim instruction and coaching.

Supervise and educate volunteers assisting in the swim program.

Maintain and inspect necessary equipment and facilities to insure a safe learning environment.

Develop an appropriate swim curriculum for various age groups and abilities.

Assist in the development of swim special events and tournaments.

Responsible for scheduling and communication of participants in the swim program.

Attend competitions to supervise and coach swimmers.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess and maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification.
• Pool Manager certification desired.
• Personal Training certification desired.

 

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

EXPERIENCE:

• Must have previous experience coaching and instructing swimming.
• Previous experience working with athletes with a variety of disabilities is desired.

Minimum pay range

USD $21.18/Hr.

Maximum pay range

USD $35.47/Hr.
