We are seeking a Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer to join The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team located in Heath, OH.
This engineering position will be responsible for conducting the development and execution of overhaul strategies (both hardware and software impacting) for support equipment used in the mechanical and electronics testing of U. S. Strategic Deterrence Systems (U.S. Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Guidance Systems, U. S. Air Force & U.S. Navy Guidance Systems and other military programs).

Position Responsibilities Include:
Translates engineering requirements into product definition data (e.g., detail, assembly and installation drawings, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data, parts lists or Bill of Material (BOM), etc.) based on applicable standards and established precedents to communicate requirements to downstream customers.
Verifies engineering data by ensuring compliance to standards and integration of parts, instructions and tools.
Develops statements of work, procurement specifications, spares plans, overhaul plans, system integration plans and test plans in support of overhauling ground support equipment used in the testing and repair of guidance systems.
Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, sub-system or component designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
Develops simple test procedures, and the instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk.
Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity; alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data, and prepares test reports for review prior to delivery to customer.

Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD-based engineering design
Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory testing, data analysis, instrumentation, system integration, manufacturing (Assembly, Integration & Test)
Previous aerospace industry experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
Minimum 7 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with CATIA and/or progeCAD CAD-based engineering design
Experience with NI LabVIEW, Microsoft Visual Studio, and/or other comparable programming languages
Experience working on government or DoD programs
