About the role

We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Analyst 2 in Private Banking Operations to provide operational support to the Collateral Monitoring team, by focusing on Reg T and Reg U Margin calculations. Objectives include analysis of potential lending guidelines changes, forecasting impact of implementation, assisting with test scripts and testing, and working closely with business and IT to deliver releases.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Analyst level position within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Process transactions/tasks within coverage area

  • Respond to client requests with accuracy and speed, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures

  • Follow escalation framework, taking responsibility for identifying, escalating and preventing issues

  • Raise issues, question others and offer solutions/ideas

  • Data analysis focusing on stress testing portfolios for industry, sector, country risk, and market dislocation exposures

  • Combine data analytics and strategic planning to prioritize work backlog, create innovative solutions, and drive business decisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate and streamline manual processes, delivering time savings and reducing operational risk

  • Interface with multiple stake holders to optimize solutions for securities-based lending processes

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Ability to build trust and find innovative ways to improve teamwork, functions/processes and create a positive work environment

  • Understanding of business area supported, client requirements, and importance of not compromising control to comply with client requests

  • Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values

  • At least 0-2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

  • Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Process automation with Python, Alteryx, Power BI, UiPath, SQL, VBA, Microsoft O365 (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Access -Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred

  • 2-3+ years of experience in financial services

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate on projects with colleagues

  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate one's rationale

  • Continuous learning and drive to create innovative solutions

  • Technical (Preferred: Python, Alteryx, Power BI, UiPath, SQL, VBA, Microsoft O365 (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Access)

  • Self-starter

  • Interest in project work

  • Knowledge of Private Banking
