In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Micro Focus Enterprise Server on Linux platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of Linux systems, experience with enterprise-level software deployment and management, strong DevOps capabilities, and expertise in managing infrastructure on AWS. Proficiency in both German and English is essential.</span></span></span></span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span><span><b><span><span><span>What you do</span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Install, configure, and maintain Micro Focus Enterprise Server on Linux systems</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure to support enterprise server operations</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Utilize strong DevOps skills, including experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and AWX</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Use Ansible for server configuration management and automation</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise servers</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Collaborate with development teams to facilitate application deployment and integration</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Implement and uphold security best practices and compliance standards</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Provide technical support and guidance to junior administrators and other IT staff</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies as needed</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Document system configurations, procedures, and changes</span></span></span></span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><span><span><b><span><span><span>What you bring</span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Proven experience as a Linux Administrator in enterprise-level environments, with strong knowledge of Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, SUSE, and Ubuntu</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Experience with Micro Focus Enterprise Server installation and management, as well as managing AWS services and infrastructure</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Proficiency in Ansible for server configuration management and automation, and familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Python</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Understanding of networking protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SSH</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LFCS, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) and experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM, as well as Kubernetes and additional configuration management tools like Puppet or Chef</span></span></span></span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><span><span> <b><span><span><span>What we offer</span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span><span><span><span>We offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad.</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>We believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location).</span></span></span></span></span></li>
