SUMMARY
This position is responsible for business process analysis, model management, information reporting and analysis by supporting the functions of Compliance including BSA/AML and Financial Crimes. This Business Analyst understands compliance processes, complex reporting, understands the technology that supports these functions, and has experience collaborating in projects.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Provide support to compliance department units by analyzing and prioritizing information and reporting requests by understanding and leveraging technology to automate and streamline dashboards across functions.
- Responsible for testing and tuning models used in the business including monitoring and maintenance, ensuring its accuracy, and appropriate usage within the organization.
- Discovery, analysis and documentation of business requirements, process flows, and use cases.
- Proactively collaborate with business units to analyze processes, critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, dissect high-level information into details, condense low-level information into general understanding, and distinguish user requests underlying true needs to drive successful business requirements.
- Identify additional opportunities through active listening and engagement with the business. Provide regular updates and surface opportunities as identified.
- Collaborate with system developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical requirements and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs to provide technological solutions for process improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

- Display professionalism in appearance, verbal and written communications, and interactions with a diverse group; executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Complete all required compliance exams annually.
- Adhere to all First United Bank Policies and Procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor.
