Purpose

The Senior Departmental Buyer is responsible for the management of the procurement of goods and services including business contract agreements within the Texas Institute for Electronics.

Responsibilities

• General: Assist with processing purchase requests for goods and services for small orders including researching issues with outstanding orders, exchanges, and credits from vendors. Process invoice and shipping payments, expense corrections, sub-award payments, cash deposits and wire payment. Manage the ProCard process for the department including leading monthly ProCard reconciliation and ensuring all required documentation is provided. Engages with university departments and vendors. Provide guidance and training as needed in areas of responsibility. Responsible for maintaining and responding to departmental purchasing and invoice emails.

• Amazon Business Prime administrator: Process requests, maintain, add, or remove users and groups within the Amazon business account. Extract documentation for monthly purchases and reports.
