Job Summary: The Administrative Specilist under general supervision, performs duties including data entry, verifying data and preparing materials for printing, keeping records of completed work, filing completed documents, deleting incorrectly entered data, compiling, sorting, and verifying accuracy of data to be entered. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology is necessary.

 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Keys assembles, batches, and distributes data such as manufacturing orders, and sewing tickets
  • Data entry of manufacturing issues, transfer orders, inter-company transfers; Logs and codes data according to prescribed standards
  • Verifies recorded information to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
  • Identifies and corrects errors
  • Match loading tallies, and invoices to orders
  • Distribute applications and keep recruiting records
  • Answers and screens telephone calls
  • Assist with inventory and Spec Clerk when needed
  • Greets visitors and helps or refers to appropriate individual
  • Composes general correspondence and written material
  • Sorts and distributes mail
  • Orders and maintains inventory of supplies
  • Photocopies material
  • Performs additional functions incidental to office activities
  • Responds to customer requests and questions regarding service, product, and account information.

 

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience:

  • Two years of related work experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to extracts and compile a narrow range of data from written sources, individuals, or from one or several given data bases; coding based on prescribed simple standards
  • Ability to classify material for filing
  • Capable of understanding complicated written instructions, memoranda, orders
  • Regular, skilled use of word processors and programs
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing
