Senior Power BI Administrator and Database Developer

What does a successful Senior Power BI Administrator and Database Developer do at Fiserv?
You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions in Azure Cloud Environment. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our applications and ensure efficient data management.

What you will do:

• Administer MS Fabric, Power BI Servers, Power BI Service and Gateways across environments based on Microsoft releases
• Power BI Server management including security, clustering, load balancing, and user management
• Power BI licensing administration support, report and dataset migration and scheduling
• Design capacity and utilization monitoring and performance monitoring
• Connect and manage Power BI to various data sources in cloud, on-prem and new data sources in Data Lakes and Delta Lakes
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, debug, tune and optimize for optimal performance and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
• Write efficient SQL code and optimize existing MS SQL packages for performance and tuning
• Participate in architecture and requirements reviews to build Cloud based solutions

What you will need to have:

• 7+ years of experience in designing and developing database solutions
• 7+ years of experience in a Microsoft Power BI administrator role
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server stack including SSIS, SSMS, SSRS
• 5+ years of experience building Azure Cloud base solutions like Azure Data Factory Pipelines, Snowflake
• 5+ years of experience in database designs and data modeling
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience

What would be great to have:

• Administration experience with MS Fabric highly preferred
• Windows Server Administration OS, IIS, security, application configurations
• Experience in Power BI dashboard creation and model creation
• Knowledge of Atlassian Products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace
• Knowledge of ServicePoint/ServiceNow
