The Director within the US Medical Affairs (MAF) Medical Strategy Team is a Pulmonary

Arterial Hypertension (PAH) medical expert who will lead key medical affairs functions and initiatives of data generation and data dissemination strategies. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • This position will provide complex scientific and clinical leadership in leading the development of strategic and tactical projects to execute the Medical Plan and direction for US Medical Affairs.

  • This role will coordinate with Commercial to ensure alignment between Medical Affairs and Commercial strategy, with tactical implementation of brand plans

  • This job requires a combination of in-depth medical knowledge and clinical understanding in PAH disease, the products, and the patient journey.

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, scientific/medical presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are required for this role.

  • This role will require cross-functional collaboration with functional and the ability to work with and influence stakeholders across all levels.

  • This individual will be responsible for leading various team members and provide direction and guidance on their deliverables.

  • Act as a subject matter expert internally and externally to represent Medical Affairs voice across the various cross functional groups.

Skills

  • Clinical expertise in Pulmonary Hypertension

  • Experience with research projects, publications processes and strong presentation skills

  • Strategic leadership and influence skills to drive cross-functional initiatives and projects

  • Build and maintain strong relationships based on credibility and trust within medical affairs and cross functional partner

  • Understand the organizational priorities while managing the detailed execution of deliverable

  • Analytical skills required for scientific support of project

  • Navigate a complex matrixed environment

  • Facilitate resolution of issues relating to projects, priorities and team dynamic

  • Demonstrate deep collaboration and initiative in resolving issues

  • Must possess excellent written, oral and presentations skills

Requirements

  • MD, PhD or PharmD with 10 or more years of relevant experience of which 5 years are industry or clinical/academic experience

  • MD who specializes as a cardiologist or pulmonologist highly preferred

  • People management experience

  • Strong knowledge of PAH, pulmonary medicine and critical care highly preferred

  • Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skil
