Halvik is seeking a Business Analyst to support our client in Vienna, VA.  Responsibilities: ·   ​Provide technical and administrative direction for staff performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for adherence to design concept and user standards, and ensure progress in accordance with schedule. ·   Coordinate with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem resolution and user satisfaction. ·   Make recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations. ·   Prepare milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on system concepts to colleagues, subordinates, and end-user representatives.   ·   Coordinate closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications.Minimum Years of Experience:·   Two years of experience in selecting and implementing Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) enterprise solution applications. Completed comprehensive training in the implementation of at least one major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Knowledge Management (KM) software application. ·   At least two years of experience with the design, execution, and oversight of large-scale information technology (IT) projects; OR ·   Four years of experience, with at least two years in selecting and implementing Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) enterprise solution applications. Completed comprehensive training in the implementation of at least one major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Knowledge Management (KM) software application. ·   At least two years of experience with the design, execution, and oversight of large- scale information technology (IT) projects

Required Skills

• Must hold a TS Clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
• Must be able to accurately represent customer requirements.
• Must have excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Must have excellent technical writing skills.
• Must be able to work in an operational environment where priorities change frequently.
• Must be able to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
• Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Visio preferred.
 
• Minimum Education & Experience
• Master’s degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with two years of relevant experience; OR 
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with four years of relevant experience in systems analysis or business analysis; OR
• Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with six years of relevant experience in systems analysis or business analysis;

Preferred skills

• Knowledge of several of the following areas: Active Server Pages, JavaScript, Visual Basic, JavaScript, Access, xQuery, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), DBMS's (eg., Oracle, Sybase, etc.) and knowledge of SQL in SQL server. ​
• Expertise in Systems Development Life Cycle framework.
• Experience with performance management diagnostic methods, tools, and techniques.
• Experience with systems testing and evaluation principles, methods, and tools.
• Knowledge of new and emerging information technologies and/or industry trends
