Job Description:

This role reports to the Director Project Management and supports the PMO of the GBT Supply Marketplace (GBT’s proprietary content aggregation and distribution platform). The Project Manager may be assigned to one or more projects related to the expansion of NDC to more geographies and tools, the planning and deployment of new platform features, the management or documentation for the PMO tools and processes. The role has accountability for project planning and execution and process mapping to help efficiently deliver our platform and features. This is a unique opportunity for the job holder to contribute to GBTs NDC growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Define & maintain all-encompassing deployment project plans with dependencies and dates.
  • Define rollout plans & phases– including pilots. Place customers in each phase & consider exception criteria.
  • Document issues & risks and ensure NDC is deployed with a do no harm approach to other products and processes.
  • Manage communication of deployment plans, issues, risks, and escalations with business stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Communicate and represent project status in cross-functional steering committee meetings to multiple levels of the organization - if requested.
  • Engage with global teams to ensure alignment with project scope and timelines.
  • Provide NDC deployment and project management expertise when engaging with partner teams.
  • Identify and remove obstacles for NDC on all projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate & host project meetings and send meeting notes with clear action items and timelines.
  • Create and maintain project plans and ensure timely completion of all workstream tasks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with counterparts from all teams.
  • Provide professional and detailed status reports on project deliverables.
  • Responsibility for budgeting where applicable.
  • Limited travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years travel industry experience, solid understanding airline data flows and tools in the travel industry ecosystem, familiarity with NDC, travel management.
  • Travel operations or TMC experience is a plus.
  • PMP Certification, 5+ years project management, coordination, planning, and organizational skills, proven experience with agile, waterfall and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Smartsheet Certification, demonstrated advanced user skills, including setting up tools and processes in Smartsheet.
  • Excellent process documentation skills.
  • Experience in product development / product operations / product deployment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a complex, diverse, global, matrix and changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate the organization, collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and overcome project barriers.
  • Excellent time management, juggling tight deadlines with a focus on quality and details.
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt and prioritize focus.
  • Solid follow through with minimal management.        
  • Good business & technical acumen.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills.
  • Great consultative and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English.

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000.  The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
