Industrial Engineer

Reponsibilities

• Develop process flows, design and draft layout of equipment, materials, assembly stations, people flow and facilities.
• Possess knowledge of automated assembly, robotic handling and vision-based detection/measurement fields.   
• Ability to offer technical recommendations for warehousing solutions.
• Support the development and proposal of tactics to align with warehousing strategy.
• Provide time study and capacity analysis data.  
• Analyze the layouts and processes to optimize material flow, labor efficiency, safety, quality, productivity and ergonomics. Develop short- and long-term solutions to problems found.
• Measure, establish and optimize capacity specs/targets (OEE and cycle times)  
• Develop documentation and procedures to ensure compliance specific to customer and regulatory production requirements and specifications.  
• Travel as required 
• Perform other duties as needed. 

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering  
• Education with the following specialties preferred: Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial.  
• 5+ years Industrial and Warehouse planning experience. 
• Experience with 2D CAD tools such as AutoCAD etc.  
• Knowledge in OEE, capacity planning, cycle time analysis and line balancing. 
• Ability to analyze data for process improvements.  
• Experience doing detailed analysis necessary to make data-driven decisions on warehouse or production line design. 
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification documents.  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Proficiency in MS office. 
• Travel up to 25% domestic and international.
