Your time will be spent investigating, analyzing, and solving structural and architectural deficiencies involving existing buildings, parking structures, plazas, and other types of built structures. This can include tasks ranging from forensic investigation, behavior evaluation, repair design and budgeting, preparation of repair documents and construction administration. Your work will solve complex problems, many of which have no clear precedent and require fundamental and creative solution approaches. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of project managers, structural engineers, and architects to develop these solutions which ultimately add value and longevity to the built environment. Walker is a multi-service firm of engineers, architects, and consultants with expertise in parking, structural engineering, structural forensics, structural and architectural restoration, and building envelope consulting that are fully committed to providing structural and architectural solutions. Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in civil/structural engineering. - Professional licensure required.- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design, repair/retrofit design and structural failure investigation. - Excellent organization and project management skills. - Experience with post-tensioned structures is a plus. - Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in preparing restoration reports Who We Are
