Position Summary
Under the direction of the Atlas HOPE Program Directors, the Safety Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for creating safety protocols and safety plans for participants based off of the Atlas HOPE curriculum. The Safety Coordinator Supervisor will oversee the implementation of these protocols and plans into programming. This role involves frequent contact with participants, staff, program directors, guests, and other Fortune program members.  The candidate must have experience with Harm Reduction, trauma informed care or other evidenced based interventions. The ideal team member will work closely with the management team to continuously update safety policies and practices to ensure that it always aligns with curriculum.

Supervision 
The Safety Coordinator Supervisor will communicate procedures, protocols, and plans to direct report. They will ensure they understand the safety goals outlined for the program.  The Safety Coordinator carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, coaching, and mentoring employees

Collaboration
The Safety Coordinator Supervisor must collaborate and coordinate to ensure the safety of all staff, participants, guests etc. at all times. They will collaborate with stakeholders, in addition to ensuring individuals at the site accept and adhere to the safety protocols that have been outlined.


Problem Solving and Decision-Making Skills
The Safety Coordinator Supervisor must have the ability to assess potential threats within the program space, threats involving participants, and support the Safety Coordinator as needed. They will be called upon to assess safety-related issues and assist the Safety Coordinator with developing safety plans based on their observations in collaboration with the Program Directors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, Implement and monitor safety protocols across the Atlas HOPE Program, ensuring that safety measures align with curriculum guidance;
• In collaboration with Program Directors, develops and ensures successful execution of participant safety plans, CBI and harm reduction techniques;
• Teach Conflict Resolution techniques to Safety Coordinators and staff in line with the Atlas HOPE curriculum to promote harm reduction;
• To use CBI to create, implement, and monitor policies and plans that have been put in place to ensure safety;
• Provide training and mentoring to staff on all safety protocols, policies, and plans put in place to ensure safety;
• To review all submitted reports, ensuring all safety-related incidents are documented and addressed appropriately;
• Conducts weekly quality assurance reviews of all incident reports and make protocol updates based on incident summaries;
• Attend regular team meetings and maintain open communication lines within the team and the broader community;
• Coordinate support sessions aimed at developing conflict resolution skills and positive behavior;
• Support the Safety Coordinator with monitoring all participants entering and leaving the building;
• Regularly patrol Atlas H.O.P.E site spaces and areas of use to ensure the safety of everyone within the s; building during program hours;
• Intervene in crisis situations and provide appropriate support when necessary; administers first-aid as needed;
