Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate, Experienced, or Senior Writer Editor – Technical Communicator to join our team in Mesa, Arizona or Everett, Washington.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Analyzes, interprets and develops new, innovative communications solutions for customers.
  • Develops or modifies existing content and configuration management systems and processes.
  • Leads writing and editing production. Determines approaches to content structure and design. Leads critical projects.
  • Defines content organization, nomenclature and navigation systems for multifaceted projects. Resolves issues regarding regulatory and legal requirements. Defines new standards and guidelines.
  • Provides expertise related to emerging trends and technology in the writing industry.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Level 2: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 3: 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables and release technical publications.
  • Experience with Technical Publications, aircraft systems or technical data.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 2+ years of previous experience in publication and online writing techniques
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams on a product for both an internal and external audience.
  • Comfortable and proficient in gathering data from multiple sources, and compiling in a single document.
  • Experience with project management principles to manage simultaneous projects.
  • Experience driving digital solutions.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience using an XML-based authoring system.
  • Self-starting, accountable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.

Summary Pay Range:

  • Associate (Level 2): $62,900 - $90,850
  • Experienced (Level 3): $76,500 - $110,400
  • Senior (Level 4): $91,800 - $133,400
