Salary: £24k + Discretionary company bonus up to £1,500 + Benefits  

Job Type: Full Time, permanent 35 hour week (varied shifts between Mon-Fri 6am and 5pm) 

Location:  Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham  Rocksteady Music School is the UK’s largest rock and pop school. We teach fun and inclusive in-school band lessons to primary age children. Our mission is simple: to amplify children's self-belief and remove barriers to music education. We’re currently in thousands of schools in the UK, teaching over 100,000 children every week – and we’re growing fast! 

In this role, you'll be the welcoming point of contact for our field staff (Band Leaders), responding to queries via phone, emails, chat with warmth, efficiency, and a solutions-focused attitude. You will be someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, and who can handle multiple priorities in a live environment without losing focus or composure.  

An important part of your role is proactively scheduling work across timetables to minimise disruptions for schools, parents, and children, while accurately recording data across all platforms. You'll act as the consistent feedback loop for our Band Leaders, spotting trends and opportunities to improve the experience.  

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential. You'll bring a proactive, can-do attitude to everything you do.  

Must enjoy working with Data to solve problems. This hybrid role requires you to work independently and collaboratively within a small team to resolve issues promptly.  

Training will be provided, and you'll build a deep understanding of the day-to-day operational challenges and become an expert on the systems and equipment our staff use.  


As a Music School Operations Co-Ordinator you’ll need: 

  • Be comfortable working at speed, stay calm under pressure, and be confident in handling data-heavy tasks as part of your daily workflow. 
  • To be a confident, concise and empathetic communicator with the ability to tailor the approach to the scenario, both verbally and in writing.   
  • A high level of IT Literacy, Microsoft Excel, CRM packages, and using Omni channels for managing interactions (Calls, emails, chat). 
  • To be organised and be able to coordinate and influence with people inside and outside the company. 
  • The ability to use own initiative and creative thinking to find solutions to problems. Taking ownership.  
  • To be a natural multi-tasker comfortable in being able to prioritise and manage own time effectively to achieve goals and hit KPI’s and targets.   

Desired 
  • Has experience in time-critical logistics or event management operations. 
  • Background with Music or working in an Educational setting.  
  • Zendesk and advanced Excel skills.

Working Hours:   

Full-time position; 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.  6am to 2pm – Work From Home 8am to 4pm – Office  9am to 5pm – Office   The early 6am shift, you can work from home. The two later shifts will be office-based. Not confirmed until a job offer is made; subject to change based on demand.    Benefits
